HOMEWORK POLICY
It is school policy to allocate homework regularly and consistently
Homework is an essential part of school life. It is necessary so as to reinforce what has been taught, learned and done in school during the day.
- Homework is allocated by class teacher.
- Homework consists of written, oral or practical work.
- Oral homework is just as important as written work.
- If a pupil fails to do homework, his/her teacher can require him/her to do it at a date and time to be directed including break time.
- Constant failure to do homework will mean that parents/guardians of the pupils concerned will be contacted.
- In certain cases sanctions may be imposed.
GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
- Pick a suitable time for your child to do his/her homework.
- As far as possible a working place which is quiet, comfortable and free from distraction of radio, television, computer and other noises should be arranged.
